Device Intelligence Overview

Our proprietary Device Intelligence and Behavior Biometrics are part of the Sardine Platform and is used to detect the following signals:

Device Intelligence

Our proprietary Device Intelligence identifies devices via cookies and device fingerprinting. Based on the data gathered, we can effectively flag suspicious devices (emulators / scripts) and sessions (proxies / VPNs / remote desktop) typically used to create synthetic accounts. With our Native App SDK, you can additionally perform precise location(GPS), tampered app and rooted device detection. These results are produced by our sophisticated AI models driven by low level signals (network traffic, mouse movements, sensors etc)

Behavior Biometrics

Our proprietary Behavior Biometrics detects fraudsters via their intrinsic behavior. For example, fraudsters are 30x more likely to copy/paste bank details, less likely to hesitate when pasting values, more likely to use advanced shortcuts, straight line mouse movements, etc.

Is the Actual Data Entered in Input Fields Collected?

No, during the live biometric collection process, we never collect characters (a-zA-Z0-9 and special characters) that users provide in input fields. We track how the input fields are interacted with (e.g. time spent in field, time between keystrokes, combinations of keystrokes), and how the data is presented (typed, copy/paste, autofill). The onus is on our customers to collect the data provided by their customers, and transmit this securely via a server-side API request.
